Assuring a Quality Education

UA College of Engineering Main Campus undergraduate degree programs, except Software Engineering, are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.

Software Engineering is the newest undergraduate degree program, effective Fall Semester 2021. The Software Engineering degree program may request an evaluation by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, once the degree program yields a cohort of graduates.

ABET accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates.

ABET accredits programs, not institutions. It provides specialized accreditation for postsecondary programs within degree-granting institutions already recognized by national or regional institutional accreditation agencies or national education authorities worldwide.
