Apply Through UA Admissions

All students must apply for readmission to the College of Engineering through the UA Office of Admissions, which will notify the College of pending applications.

Please refer to the Office of Admissions website for application deadlines, to which the College of Engineering adheres. Late submissions will not be accepted!

 

Students in Good Academic Standing

A student who left the University in good academic standing must have been making progress toward an engineering degree at the time of departure to be considered for readmission to the College of Engineering.

Students who were not on academic probation or under disqualification upon departure from the University and who have attempted fewer than 12 college-level units at other post-secondary institutions are eligible to return upon completion of the readmission application.

A student who has attempted 12 or more college-level units at other post-secondary institutions must submit an official transcript of all coursework. A minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required for coursework completed at other institutions.

Readmission applications are processed on a first-in, first-out basis. The process typically takes two to three weeks from the time a completed application is received and may take longer during peak processing periods. 

 

Students in Poor Academic Standing – Probation or Disqualification

A student who left the University on academic probation or under disqualification must have completed a minimum of 24 units at another institution, show significant academic improvement, and have at least a 3.0 GPA in engineering degree-required courses to be considered for readmission to the College of Engineering. Students will be notified via email or mail of the Readmission Committee’s decisions.

Readmission applications are processed on a first-in, first-out basis. The process typically takes three to four weeks from the time a completed application is received and may take longer during peak processing periods. 

 

Second Start Readmission

This UA policy allows for an undergraduate’s GPA to be reset after an absence of at least three years. Grades from all UA coursework completed prior to the extended absence will be designated as not contributing to the cumulative GPA. Please review all of the Second Start conditions.
