What is SEA?

Summer Engineering Academy is a week-long residential camp held on the The University of Arizona campus. Session I is open to students who will enter grades 9 and 10 in the upcoming fall. Sessions II and III are open to students in grades 11 and 12.

There is a $15 nonrefundable application fee payable to UA MEP, and a $500.00 program fee due upon acceptance into the program. Need-based scholarships are available.

Session I: June 2-7 (Rising 9th and 10th Grade) 

Session II: June 9-14 (Rising 11th and 12th Grade)

Session III: June 16-21 (Rising 11th and 12th Grade)

Session IV: June 23-28 

Mining Engineering 

Session V: July 7-12 (Program Full, Waitlist only)

Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Materials Science & Engineering

Session VI: July 14-19 (Program Full, Waitlist only)

Electrical & Computer Engineering, Optical Science & Engineering, Systems & Industrial Engineering

Session VII: July 21-26 (Program Full, Waitlist only)

Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

Students who attend the Summer Engineering Academy will investigate careers available in engineering. Students will have the opportunity to learn how engineers affect the world every day. They will spend time in the classroom with University professors learning about topics ranging from the fundamentals of aerodynamics to materials used in engineering.
